Any ideas on how to break the spindles loose on a Dana 50 axle? The chisel and hammer method just isn't cutting it and I don't have any access to heat. Thanks.
Best method is to lay a chunk of 2x4 on top of the spindle, and hit it HARD with a 3-5lb mallet. If it doesn't loosen up work your way around with the block and hammer.

Good advice. However I think you need a bigger chisel and hammer as that method should work.
The chisel method usually tears up the mating surface between the spindle and the knuckle. The TTB D50 spindle has a larger retaining lip, and can be a struggle.
easiest method is to use a spindle puller. Two types, the slide hammer design, and the press. It uses the axle as the anchor.
Each one works wonders and will not risk the possibility of damaging the threads or bearing surface.
I see many spindles ruined because the BFH was used.
BFH has its place, but the spindle can be compromised if it is used to aggressively.
