Halogen lights

The existing headlights on my 72 F250 are really dim. I'd like to replace them with new halogen bulbs, but I'm worried the old wiring may not be up to the task. Any thoughts? Thanks.

I think it ought to be just fine. The lights will of course draw plenty of power, but the stock lights should already be halogen. Just pick up some new round headlights of the same size at an auto parts store and pop them in. It's the whole unit you replace.

Ah, yes. I like that idea myself. It's quite electrically sound and would put less strain on the rest of the wiring harness.

I like those schematics. EZ.

Partsexpress.com offers many electrical and electronic parts. Their prices and service are very good. The bosch type relays are priced reasonable, too.

I should look at the wiring on my truck.. I want to say they're running on the stock wiring just fine. Not that it matters... I do plan on a new wiring harness.
