I just bought 13 old fords 64-72s one of them is a 65 Galaxie custom
With A "V" code (book says 6 cyl.) but its got a FE with a casting #
of C6ME- with no letter behind it the heads are C5AE-6090G four bbl intake C4AE-9425 with a huge spread bore carb. The casting # on the Block is Upside down ???????????? does anybody know what it is ??

thanks for the question, i now realize my book is junk, it says that a C6ME is either a 360 cu.in. (4.05 bore/3.50 stroke) or a 428cu.in. (4.13 bore/3.98 stroke) i guess from there you can look at your flywheel to see if it's externally balanced, if there is a wieght cast into the flywheel then it's the larger stroke crank, the 410's and 428's had this type of crank (according to my "trusted book"). it (the book) didn't have anything to say about you heads or intake, i wonder what it will have to say about me burning it immediately when i go get a different one. sorry i couldn't be more help.

Yikes!!! i sure wish i had that many fords! i admire you.

Thanks for the reply. it must be a 428 because the 360 (according to my book) there is no 360 four bbl that year.
