Rams horn manifold gaskets
I had to replace a blown head gasket on my C600 292 and am trying to find the original type exh. manifold gaskets with all of the heat shielding. Every gasket set I can find lists exh. man. gaskets "w/o heat shield". Even Felpro doesn't have them. Any suggestions on where to look? Would a Ford P/N help?
I could reuse the old ones. They're just tin and come off easily in one piece.
Or should I just skip the heat shielding and use the ones that came with the set that are just the regular thick, foil covered type that just go around the ports.
If I reuse the original ones, what are the potential consequences of a poor seal?
