Just checking in. Right now We're in Fredericton NB. 1 more days here and then slowly make our way back through the states. We've been busy. Peggy's cove, a sail on the Bluenose 2 at Lunenburg, Green Gables, Port Royal, The old cities in Montreal and Quebec city, and much more.
Had some trouble the first day and ended up leaving a day late. The PSD died half way to Brandon and I got her towed in and changed out a weak fuel pump and put in my spare CPS (cam position sensor) to be safe. Left the next day and drove hard for 2 days to catch up to my schedule. Which we did. THe old girl loves 75 MPH even with the big old camper behind. Starting to see a real need for new rubber by the time we're done this though. 6500km so far and we're still in New Brunswick. Well, I'll chack back in next weekend when we get back home. Talk to you then. Dave
Hi Dave, great to hear from you.
Too bad about the pump problems but glad you got it fixed and made up time, just watch out for speeding tickets.
It sounds like you have been real been busy but having a great time.
Thanks Fom. Seen lote of cops too, but they haven't gotten me yet!!!! We'll be on the interstates once we get across the line, so we shouldn't have a troubles then.
Man My brother inlaw lives in Lunenburg. He owns a bed and breakfast there. I have not been there and neither has my wife since he moved there. He has been here a few times.
slip tank got you to north bay??? man, i wish i had had one of them!!! mind you, its not free to fill that either, but northern ontario was the most expensive fuel in canada...(east-central canada) that i've seen!!!
maybe for gas. The diesel got more expensive as I went East. Even in the north eastern states. Diesel was $1.13 in places and premium was $1.09. That's just wrong. State side I was paying $3.09 -$3.39. While premium was generally under $3. Oh well, we didi it and we're done. Next year I'm spending my vacation in little bits and most of that on my boat.
where did you see premium for 109?? everywhere i stopped for fuel diesel was either 1-2 cents less, or very close to the price of regular. in longlac ON, we paid 1.30 for prem, then in one town east of t-bay it was 1.34 for prem... nasty really.
