well, FIL and me went for a cruise b4 supper, came upon a flock of snow geese, and came home with 7 geese and a duck. wish it was b4 noon, we'd have got some canadas too, there were a ton of them there too!!!
On the birds do you just take the breasts or keep the whole thing? My brother hunts birds with some americans that have been coming up here for years. I havent been on a good goose shoot for about 10 years - maybe its time again!!
Thanks for the hunting thread - it reminds me I need a new clip for the .308.
we just breast them. FIL says there's not much more on them worth eating, said the legs are pretty tough, and the wings don't have much on them. never tried making sausage on them, but i've heard its good too.
I haven't been bird hunting for years, but still go after Deer and the occasional Moose when I get a chance. As for sausge I hear there are alot more people making sausge of birds, espescially the Snow geese.
