Target/crate motor identification numbers? Please Help

Target/crate motor identification numbers? Please Help
When i bought my truck a 76 f250 camper special,the guy said it had a 390 target motor. But I'm not so sure.
Here are the #'s I could find:
on the head (passenger side forward)-2983
manifold- D5TE9425MB
Exhaust Manifold- D2TE 8or9 430AA
I posted this in the appropriate truck forum yesterday but didn't get any help, mybe better luck here.
I have already run the numbers through a VIN decoder with no luck

I'm not sure what a "target" motor is. Your 76 Camper Special may well have come from the factory with a 390. What is the VIN? It will tell you what was originally in it.
If the motor has been replaced, it's likely either a 360 or a 390. None of those numbers will tell you which it is. The only way to know for sure is to measure the stroke.
