I just bought a 04 f150 and it has the 6 disc cd changer and I am getting ready to put my subs and amp in it and I am wondering if anyone knows if there is a rca hgook up on the factory stereo unit.
the line output convertor will have 2 ends. On the one end, you connect the speaker wires into it. On the other end is the output, 2 female rca jacks. That allows the signal from the factory radio to be converted into rca's and you can then run the rca cable from the convertor to your amp. I haven't messed with one in almost 10 years, so I couldn't tell you what brand/type would be best to buy now.

I'm not sure of the colors, but the easy way to locate the wires for the rear door speakers is to remove the door sill pllates. Look through the wiring under that plate on each side and you'll find two wires that are twisted together. Those are your wires. Also, for the remote, I found the power wire for the rear windows and spliced into that, so now when the key is on, the amp is on. Splicing to this wire also allows you to turn the amp off and on by using the window lock switch on the driver door.
