390 power

I'm new here and I'm sure this topic has been beat to death many times over, but I need info on building up a 390. I'm looking at a '72 F-100 shorty with a 390, C-6, and 9 inch combo. The 390's already got hedmen longtubes and a custom exhaust and H pipe, and a holley 500 cfm 2 barrel. I'm looking to put in a fairly aggresive cam. I am also planning of upgrading the roller rockers and valve springs. So my question is, since I am pretty new to this engine family, what's a good source for this type of equipment? Also, what else do you guys and gals recomend?
thanks in advance!

For the cam I would buy it from summitracing.com. They are going to be the cheapest more than likely. For the roller rockers the cheapest setup you will find is the "Dove" assembly for $550 from dscmotorsport.com. The setup includes thick walled hardened shafts, roller rockers and moly stands. Without doing some headwork going much bigger than 225 @ .050 on the cam is a waste of you time effort and gas. I would recommend the crane 343801 cam. You can get all the info from www.cranecams.com. There are also many other good grinds to go with but make sure the exhaust lobe has a little more duration and lift than the intake. The exhaust bowls need to be cleaned up a little bit and going to a 1.65" exhaust valve is a good way to go. Get the 2bbl off of there and go with a 390GT or 428CJ intake if you can find one or if you have the cash to spend go with the edelbrock performer RPM. The performer RPM heads flow real good also if you are still looking to spend some more money.
