Lets talk about the chapter leader.

Not about you personally Jim....I meant about the fact that you are about to deploy and be gone for a year.

I think it would be a good idea if you would pass the CL badge on....if we can find a sucker to accept the job. There are only a small handfull of us us that have been to most or all of the GTG's, and I feel strongly that the new CL (assuming that you agree to pass the torch) should be one of those people.

So what says the chapter?

I'll agree with Scott on this one. The chapter leader should be someone who can make all of the meets. If we are to keep this chapter alive, we need to commit some time to it. I guess this means I need to make it to a few more meets myself.
So, Scott, who'd you have in mind? Yourself or Dave? I'll support either.

Well....You have been to most of them. So has Joe. Andy has been to the last couple and fits in with this motley crue. Really I would be open to any of you that wanted to step up and do it.

I do think that Dave would be the most qualified guy to kick our chapter to the next level, and with my proximity I would be able to assist with most anything he came up with....but Dave would have to volunteer and Jim would have to agree before any of the rest of our opinions came to bear.

sounds good to me. who would want to do it? i think we should meet at a restaurant in little rock or north little rock because of the central location. only people the could show up would be eligible for nomination. we could nominate, vote and i could let the powers that be who the new CL is.

BTW. I also covet your prayers for my family and myself.

Thanks for the kind words Scott . I would be me more than happy to carry the torch for awhile if very one agrees to that.

Jim what outfit are you in I forget? You and your family will always be in our prayers.

I would agree either Dave or Scott would be a great choice. I know I am not ready for that task, I need to be around a little bit more. As for meeting at a resturant...we got Hooters in NLR!!!! HAHA

Hooters... What is it they serve there? Oh, food, thats right!

As far as the new CL goes, I'm not prepared to take on such a role.

Scott, you have been mentioned, but I think you have all the fun you want for the moment moderating the PSD forum, right?

Dave has volunteered on 2 occasions now, and is an expert on the grill.. he's got my vote!

Jimbo your family's well-being are always on our minds, and will certainly be in our prayers in the months to come.

Joe

Actually....I moderate four forums, so yes, one might say that I have a full plate.

I'm all for Dave, we just have to go through the formality of getting together and making it official f I understand Jim correctly. So somebody say where and when.

BTW....wifeypoo turned her nose up at me big time when she read "hooters" in this thread. Perhaps we could meet at someplace a little more spouse friendly since they are as big a part of the chapter as we are.

I must be a lucky guy then....Jackie likes Hooters and the girls love it...probably cause they give baloons away! There is TGI Fridays there or we got the Japanese steakhouse also Texas Roadhouse, that is about all I know down there. I am up for anything!

I will follow along in the threads as to what is going on with the chapter. I do not want to see it die out.

I am unable to attend any of the meetings (so far). Most are on Saturdays when I am on dialysis or they have conflicted with other things (or I have been broke at the time).

It would be nice to meet some of the members in person someday.

I don't know it it requires the vote of the non-attending chapter members, but whoever steps up is fine with me.
