Oil Pan replacement

I have already made plans to replace the oil pan gasket on my '95 150, 4.9L. Then I discovered a rusted corner of the oil pan that looks bad enough that I don't want to push too hard on it. I already picked up new motor mounts and would like to know if I need to remove (and therefore replace) the transmission mounts or will I have enough play without touching them. Also can I lift the engine and get enough room to remove the oil pan without having to remove the radiator. Any advice is appreciated.
Thanks
J.D.

Not sure on the 4.9, but with my 5.0, the radiator stayed. Fan shroud needs to be unbolted and trans mount unbolted to give you a little more movement.

my 89 460 directions says to remove the radiator, but I didn't have to. I just took the hoses off for good measure. In fact, I'm trying to find the energy to go out there and put the pan back up.

I did my 91' F-250 4X4 5.0 It was a bear. One motor mount nut was rusted solid. Plan on using heat to loosen them. They might have lock tight on them. A little propane made a huge difference. I had to remove the upper intake manifold, so the motor would lift high enough. Once you get the pan dropped, you need to reach in and remove the oil pump. Putting it back was tricky. If you have a Y pipe on your exhaust, that gets in the way. I had to cut the pipe, loosen it at the exhaust manifold and rotate the one side out of the way. If your not already done feel free to ask me anything.

It's a 4.9, no y-pipe.

You can do it with it in place (Still bolted down) I replaced my gasket a few months ago and tried raising it up it didn't help. Felpro's blue gasket(about $22.00) is a good one to use on the 4.9 it's got tabs inside and out to help position it and 4 guide pins.
