I did the same swap last year. I am pretty sure everything was the same.

You use the same computer?? All I plan on doing is swapping the motor. Am getting it out of a 95 king cab.. So after a freshening, want it to be a drop in..

It's been a long time since I did this swap but it runs in my mind I had to switch some brackets due to the 351 being wider. I do recall it being fairly easy and very worthwhile though. Good luck Dave

Is the truck MAF? If so, the 302 comp will work.
What trans do you have?

A '94 302 would not be MAF unless it was converted, so he would need the computer out of the '95. He would probably also want the wiring harness, as the 302 has a knock sensor that the 351 does not. I hope they're both E4OD trannies....

Didn't some CA models get MAF mid 94? He may have a manual trans.

A manual tranny wouldn't be very good, either, because the 351 should really have the ZF behind it, but the 302 didn't get that tranny from the factory, it got the Mazda instead in the rare instances when it got a manual (I can't say I've seen ANY sticks behind gas V8 Fords in these parts).

I used the 351 computer and harness. I kept my M5OD and it has held up so far without issues. Also the truck the engine/computer/wiring came from was a E4OD and I haven't had any problems there.

Why is that???

I have a 1990 F250 4x4 with a 5.8 and a manual 5sp trans. And I love it.

In a 250, you probably have the ZF.
He was refering to the Mazda 5spd not holding up to the 351. Some say it's not up to the task, others say it will work. Same with the 4R70W and the E4OD trannies.

"Work horse", go with a 5.8 swap. You will need a flexplate from an 80s grand marquis with 5.8/AOD combo. Comp will run the 5.8. Try to get a complete motor, intake to oil pan. Your y-pipe will have to be modified as well. The 351 is wider.
