The project truck I am working on is going to be getting a set of 390 badges as the owner wants. Just out of curiousity, I want to know what they came off of or if they were a stock badge. The part #'s on the back are
C6AB-16243-A and C6AB-16237-A. They are in pretty good shape considering the amount of damage the previous fenders had these were on. As far as placement goes I think they should be installed with the slant towards the back but may go with them forward if it looks better. He wants them on the lower part of the fender in front of the wheels. Let me know what you guys think. Thanks.
Not sure of what they came from, most likely a 66 Galaxie or Fairlane. Do you have pictures? Or look at a Dearborn Classic catalog, they sale the badges for both and have pictures of them.
I have a set of those also, or I should say that I did have a set of those, my son Customcab66 has them on his truck now. They are on the front fenders, just behind the wheels, like where they were on the Fairlane. When got his truck I had alot of parts from slicks that I had parted out over the years, and I told him if I was not using something to go ahead and use it. My truck was still not all togather yet, so one day I see his truck has a sliding rear window and 390 emblems on it and mine does not. He just last month put another slider in my truck, but I don't think I will be getting those emblems back anytime soon. LOL They do look good on there.
