Startup Issues
I have an 06' FX4 SCrew with 5.4 w/ 27000miles. I have always had a problem at startup that was curious if anyone else had some issue. When I go to start the truck it does not always fire up. I turn the key back to off and wait a few seconds and then it starts up but rough and the message center says check gauges. This only happens once every two weeks but has been going on since the truck was new. The dealer found nothing wrong. Doesn't matter if its hot or cold outside but just curious if I am not turning the key long enough. Just want to make sure I don't have a problem that will cost me money after warranty is over. I had something similiar to that on my 06 it would not start on the first time and would get kinda like a backfire, it turned out to be a leaking injector, the dealer immediatly found the problem and changed the injector and the plug, hopes this helps
