alt charging tech help

Hey guys need some tech help not bs or the standard fixes. Here is the problem 89 bII 2.9 standard charging system . Iam am a elect tech so i have done all the standard test and replaced the alt. but iam not charging the batt lite is on and less than 12 volts with full charge (eng running)on the batt. The digrams dont show any fuse links and I think the switching circuit is not working to tell the alt to charge the batt. Checked the power dist box for good fuses and all ok and only five wires from the alt y/w bl/o/o/lb/w/bk but the y/w and bk/o splice in the harness to the power dist box could this be a fuse link and my digrams are wrong not letting the sensing circuts to charge the batt ? or should I check the w/bk from s term (stator) to s term switching circuit? driving me crazy... Or just pull out the sensing circuit plug out and see what happens ? Any help would be great. I am going to do some testing on other bII 89 2.9 for voltage test points thanks Eric....
