just bought a v10 2000 x with 87000 miles on it and the interior lights wont shut off.i tried to clean the door locks out and shoot them with wd-40 and open and close the doors a few hundred times and nothing works.today i went out and the battery is dead and its clicking under the dash.looks to be the origenal battery.i need to get this fixed so that my wife wont be stuck somewhere. any help would be great
tried that and wife went to take kids to school and couldn't move shift column so had to put fuse back, the passenger back door seems to not have a tight fit could be problem
I had the same exact problem. Mine comes once every 2 to 3 months and it stays for a week. While it does it i just unplug the battery when every i am not using the truck. I am trying to find out the problem but no luck. If u ever figure it out, pm or just let me kno
motorcraft has a "door latch lubricant" available, it is a cleaner//lubricant in one and works like a charm-- i only have to do mine every other year!! i'm lookin at the can but i don't see a part# on it.. the cleaner part gets the sludge off and the lubricant, well,, it lubricates
Gone4x4 how much does that stuff cost? My drivers door doesnt shut also, but this problem started well after the lights not turning off. Mayb ill lubricate that dirvers door latch before i replace the latch.
i dunno? it came with the focus door latch recall and the s--t is the bomb!!,,maybe i'll start a "hey, everybody come on over to my house and i'll spray yer latches"thread-------
dont fergit, it's a cleaner--lubricant combo spray, not just a load-it-up-n-lube it spray!!

Reason: sorry
My radio stays on when I shut off the engine. It goes off when I open the door. When I was having my interior light problem it never seemed to affect the radio.
