hey everybody, im new here and was just looking for a little help with my ford. i have a 99' f150 with about 200,000 miles on it. and very very randomly it will just shut completley off, ill have to pull off the road and restart it. and the theft light flashes very rapidly, once the theft light stops it will start again, sometimes it will do it 6-7 times in a day, and then not do it for 6 months, no dealer can find anything wrong with this either. and i also replaced the crank sensor about 4 months ago. any help in greatly appreciated. thanks.
The Powertrain Control Module (PCM) power relay may be intermittent causing the theft lamp to flash and the truck to stall. The PCM power relay is located in the Battery Junction Box under the hood. Look in your owners manual to help in identifying it. Swap it with another relay in the box of the same type, preferrably to something that isn't used all the time like a the trailer tow relay. Good luck!
