I must have gotten a bad or wrong selenoid...put an old one I had on, teaspoon of petrolium love in the carb and WHAM, she fired on over!
I set the exhaust up like my old jeeps were done...2.5" with H-pipe, thru Flowmaster 40's and out the sides...let me tell you it just sounds like "HOT ROD" to me.
Surprizingly runs very well, has a small "pop" to the carb but I havnt timed her yet...just set it near TDC at the dizzy.
Gotta give So-Cal Spped Shop some props, I bought a refurb 55 Merc. dizzy from them (still has points) and it seems to be o.k. right off the bat.
I will be tuning on Sat. Burning off the paint on headers and re-checking electricals so I can put in wire conduit and finalize...then to the interior......
THANKS to all for starting input given up to this point..I cvould'nt have done it without your help.
