I have a reg. cab 1999 Ford Ranger. I am looking to swap bodies with one as close as possible for less welding. I cant find a website that lists measurments and I am hoping to get an idea before I break out the measuring tape...
does anyone know any 1940s 50s 60s truck bodies that fit on a 99 ford ranger frame?

And the original post is pretty old but...........
Swapped a 50 Ford cab onto a 2000 Ranger frame some years back. As I recall, it fit quite well. Made a step up block for the front cab mount. Rear mount lined right up, had to redrill holes. Cut the seat pan out of the Ranger cab and welded it into the 50 cab so I could use the Ranger seats.
Currently working on a 38 Ford cab onto a 2000ish Ranger frame. Trimming and welding the complete Ranger floor into this one. Power will be 5.0 with an M5OD 5 spd.
The 96 and up Ranger is a great candidate for frame swaps. Far superior to the S10 swap that so many seem to be enamored of. Biggest issue is the kick up behind the cab. You have to drop the box down around this and it eats up a lot of room.
