engine light turns on and off
I have an engine light that seems to turn on when pulling. It only turns on during the hills, then turns off. How do I go about checking the cause. I have a hypertech chip installed in the lowest setting. 7.3 DI automatic.

You need to have the code read. It is a "soft code" as the light goes away. Probably one of two things, overboost, not likely, or injection pressure above/below desired, my guess. Neither one would be a big issue in a chipped truck.
