lockouts

what is the difference between the large and small lockouts? is there a difference in the axle shaft length or anything thanks justin

big lockouts are dana 50/60 stuff and the smaller ones go on 44's. so when ya get new ones ya need to know what axle ya have

i have a dana 44 in my 73 f250 and it has large lockouts and i have a dana 50 in my 87 and it also has large lockouts i was askin because i baught another axle wholde axle and is had small lockouts and the outer shaft is too short to work on the large lockouts

ok you got the old ball one's on the 73 they use 6 biger bolts to hold them on and stick out alot farthere,i forgot about these.(it funny i got an axle out here with them on it to!)
the biger one's on your 73 are ford/dana's idea of a heavy duty hub.they wont interchange with nothin else and cost a small mint to replace hubs,outer shaft!
