Charging Problem!!

No, I haven't gotten the wheels on yet. I've been trying to get it running. I got the brakes working, finished rewiring, had cooling problems and had to rebuild the radiator and now my charging system isn't working, kind of like your current problem. I have the wheels in my shop and I what to paint the rims black so they look good on my maroon panel. Next year if I can get everything working correctly this year, I'm going to paint the panel red.

Those stock generators were rated at 25 amps at 12 volts. You likely dont have more than that connected. I'm all in favor of a 3-wire/1-wire alternator, but a properly working stock generator will do the job. Have a shop check the generator/regulator and make sure you have good grounds and good clean wiring connections.
