Unplugged IAC..

I'm pretty sure I messed up my IAC sensor when I cleaned the throttlebody out with Gunk, My Idle races after about a half hour of driving, and once its unplugged, it returns back to a normal Idle,- I found one at Advanced for like $75.00 the cheapest one so far, but i cant get it till friday...-Will I be Messing up anything by driving the truck without this IAC sensor plugged in?

You won't hurt a thing by running without the IAC. It's possible that the truck might stall, so just be aware of that and ready for it. Have you checked the closed throttle TPS voltage?

Yeah, Jim, that's usually the case.

You may have just dislodged a some sludge and now the valve does not completely close. Why not remove the valve, disconnect the solenoid and inspect it more closely? May only cost you the price of a gasket.
