'71 390 miss
Hey all
I've got a miss on my 71 f100 390 4bbl, that I cannot locate a reason for. Little miss at idle not real rough, same miss all the way thru the rpm range. Does not miss while cruising though. Also I've got to pump and pump and pump to get it started in the morning(probably due to no choke) but once it does start it backfires for about the first 30 seconds then runs better. I've changed cap rotor wires plugs, switch to pertronix ignitor, coil, fuel filter air filter, checked timing, checked vaccum, and still nothing. Just seems to be getting a little worse. any ideas?

'71 390 miss
well, it started getting worse today, so i went out a got a new vaccum gauge, turns out the old one was junk. vaccum is jumping between 9-15 very rapidly. I sprayed everything with carb cleaner looking for vaccum leak couldn't find anything. sound like a burnt valve?
