Actually, for $189 that is a new set for 2006. I got an excellent condition set for my '05 for $169 (barely used) - no used ones listed for '06 models right now at Faxon. They cover all engines.

Since these are original manuals, do you know how to go about getting any updates for them? The price on these is very good as compared to Helms.
Not sure what kind of updates you are asking about. You order them for a specific year of truck. It only covers that year of production. If you want it for a newer/different year you would need a different manual not just an update. Although I would think the 2007 manual would be good for 2005, 2006 and 2007 as there were no significant changes that I know of.
When I bought my truck as part of the deal they gave me the CD/DVD version of the shop manuals from Helms. After you figure out how to navigate around it, the cd isn't all that bad. Lots of pictures and the correct codes.

Thanks. I know that after books are written, they come up with better ways of testing certain components as time goes on, or better remedies for an issue. That was why I asked about updates. But like you said, if you get the 07 manual for 05-07 trucks and you will have the latest manual.
