Shop Manual
Where can I get a real shop manual. I don't want one of the aftermarket ones and I don't want it on CD or DVD.
Does Ford sell these?
I want one for both my 2006 F250 SD and the 6.0 PSD

You can buy them from their web site.
And, yes, they are expensive.
The last set I bought was in 1984. Back then, for $65 I got a whole stack of books .... Body & Frame, Engine, Emissions Diagnostics, Wiring, Etc Etc
Now, I think the set of books is a few hundred dollars.
I agree that the manuals are better than cd's.
You can buy them from their web site.

What does that 2 volume set contain? The repair of everything in the truck? Gasoline and diesel?
Are those the actual titles of the two books ...... volume I and volume II ?

Actually, for $189 that is a new set for 2006. I got an excellent condition set for my '05 for $169 (barely used) - no used ones listed for '06 models right now at Faxon. They cover all engines.
These are the Ford OEM Workshop Manuals that the techs use in the dealership. The following is the description from Faxon.

Since these are original manuals, do you know how to go about getting any updates for them? The price on these is very good as compared to Helms.

When I bought my truck as part of the deal they gave me the CD/DVD version of the shop manuals from Helms. After you figure out how to navigate around it, the cd isn't all that bad. Lots of pictures and the correct codes.

Not sure what kind of updates you are asking about. You order them for a specific year of truck. It only covers that year of production. If you want it for a newer/different year you would need a different manual not just an update. Although I would think the 2007 manual would be good for 2005, 2006 and 2007 as there were no significant changes that I know of.
