have a 95 f150 4x4, i recently picked up a winch bumper for it , iam just finishing repainting it . My question is what is the best way to mount it? since the frame looks like it has a build in crumple section kind of looks like this

i was woundering what anyone else has done. My major concern would be streaching out the frame with the winch if i'am really stuck. any help/suggestions would be great, pics of what you have done would rock u can email pics to xtrmly_canadian@yahoo.com
I have heard people say the same thing with people thinking it will stretch, but have never heard of it acutally happening. Maybe hard pulling, but winching probably not.
if your worried about your frame "stretching" just weld a couple of steel plates to the frame past the "crumple" zones so it will stiffen up the frame and the bumper. good luck
