Alarm
I have a 2003 X. 7.3 4X4 Eddie Bauer. It has a Ford alarm system but I am not sure if it a dealer add or factory, I am the second owner. This thing is acting crazy, the horn will sound, and it will not allow me to crank it up. I tried disconnecting the batteries, but this did no good. I am at a loss, this has not happened before, and it just happened out of the blue. Anyone with any words of wisdom plz let me know, if not i guess off to the dealer I go, on a trailer.

I feel sure it is factory added as EB had everything but the sink from Louisville. I would call the dealer and speak to them before hauling it over. There is probably and hopefully a way to reset the system that can be done by you. Maybe they could tell you over the phone. Good luck!

I found the problem, well, I say I, a friend helped me find the problem. Turns out one of my keyless entry fobs is not doing its job. It will unlock the doors but will not deactivate the alarm. As a matter of a fact using the fob that I have never used, the alarm activates when using it to lock the x, something I have never noticed with this vehicle. Just thought I would drop a reply to my own problem incase there is someone else with this problem.
