No problem. Hey, I don’t have any problems with ranting and raving. Like you say sometimes this stuff is very frustrating. Seems like Ford never informed anybody when they lowered the exhaust ports. The header manufacturers’ slowly figured it out eventually as some offer both high and low port styles.

Talk about frustrating, you should have heard me when I was installing some Hooker Super Comps in my CJ Mach1. The front end had to be up on ramps and the engine lifted up a few inches too, first one side then the other.

What should I ask for when I replace my headers?I have a 66 4x4,390 with c1ae heads(high exhaust ports),auto trans w/column shift,1/2 ton.I have tried the local speed shops but they dont seem to differientiate between high and low exhaust ports.

I really don't understand the header thing anyway. I have the edel heads but I bought headers from flowtech for a 1970 F-100 and they match the ports perfectly. I would think if I had the correct heads for my truck they probably wouldn't fit right at all.
