Tranny Woes

I have 1 2000 F250 4x4 with some tranny problems. Started slipping on down shift from overdrive to third . Now it makes a loud clunk and sounds like its gonna blow. Are there solenoids that could cause this problem?.Who would be the best for an aftermarket trans?

Bts is probably your best bet for an after market trans. probably wont have to get another ever... I blew on up on an 00 at 60k but we tow 32k plus every day all summer long

I would go with an ATS or Suncoast trans before a BTS unit, IMO.

I just smoked mine last week. I am going to Ft Walton on Tuesday and pick up a new one from Suncoast.

This has been covered a bunch of times here, but this is what I think. I have a BTS trans in mine and some members here can vouch for thier warranty. Luckily Brian hasnt had to come and get me yet! I am very happy with mine and I tow a travel trailer all over the place combined weight being more than 21k sometimes. Good luck with the Suncoast, Mako, let us know how you like it.
