more vibrations

Now what? This just started the other day, starts out as a mild vibration at highway speeds, then gets stronger and goes away gradually again. Its in the front for sure and I'm guessing its a wheel bearing assembly, ($250) yeeks! Also its pulls to the left when braking but only when it vibrating. Just did the ball joints and did notice some excess grease coming out of one of
the bearings. Can anyone confirm my diagnosis? Thanks in advance.

im not totally sure of the vibration, but the pulling to the left maybe could be the left caliper starting to sieze, as well as a warped rotor could also cause you to pull to one side, allthough your truck would only vibrate when the brakes are applied due to a warped rotor, not vibrate all the time. the vibration that comes and goes could be as simple as a wheel out of balance as well. i think if your wheel bearing was shot you would hear a sort of grinding noise when turning to the direction of the shot bearing, and i would suspect play in the wheel. i am sure other with some more knowledge will help you out will answer you soon, hope this helps a little

Actually my experience with brake calipers is that if it pulls left, the left side is working and the right side is siezed and needs replaced. If it pulls left when not braking then the left one is not releasing and needs replaced. Also if they sieze in the applied position you will get a hot oil smell when you get out of the truck. The side that is stuck will be radiating a lot of heat from the disk if you hold your hand above it.

If your vibration turns out not to be the wheels, the next thing I would check are your u-joints in the drive shaft.

I hate vibrations, ive been trying to track one down for months, along with a squeek(i found the little ******* squeek, i just need to figure out how to fix it). Check u-joints, carrier bearing, all front suspension comptents, wheel bearings(if your wheel bearings seem fine, check for any noise, your roller bearing inside could be shot), also seized brakes and also your tires.
