Is it worth it?
My cousin is looking at buying a 1984 F-150 Regular Cab, 4*4, Manual, straight 6. Looks to be in good condition. Is it worth $1000.00? http://bellingham.craigslist.org/car/423423288.html

Oh yeah no kidding if it runs good and everything works or close to it its worth it to me a rust free body is a huge plus so id say its worth it looks to be in excellent shape

We went and looked at it today, and it is in great shape. The steering is a little weird though, it doesn't return real good, but he'll get used to it. He bought it for $800.

jeepers, that same truck with some rust holes would have sold for 1500 up here in canada!!!! good steal dude!!

He's not kidding, I'm on the south coast of B.C., and you can't find clean trucks like that up here for that price. $800 is what they want for a wrecked parts truck.

If the steering still gives you trouble, then check the usual places for wear and tear, that year had balljoints, so theres not much to go wrong with them. An alignment may be all you need.
