Ahh, gee, no. Those are awful, terrible motors. In fact, if you already have a 427 lying around that you were thinking of dropping in it, I'll haul it away for you real cheap.
Seriously, though, 427s are ridiculously rare and hideously expensive. Figure $10,000 and up if you have to go buy one. They are also purpose-built racing engines designed for high rpm use. While cool, they are not at all well suited to truck applications. The 390, 410 and 428 FE's are much better suited to trucks, and a heck of a lot cheaper.
A 351w small block would work well, too, but I'm kind of partial to the big blocks for trucks. What engine is in the truck now?
