Tis the season! hi I am going to change my glow plugs and have a question, when I got my truck the owner gave me a set of glow plugs he said where new, they look new but I would like to be certain,so my ? is what should the new plugs ohm out at when tested on the bench, thanks
I believe its 2.3 ohms I saw here recently but you could do a search on it. Stick each one on a battery and see if they light up bright orange. Careful not to burn them out though.

What is the brand name on the GP's, you want to avoid Autolites. They may break or swell up to the point they can't be removed. ZD10 or ZD11 Motorcrafts are the ones you want. Be sure they say BERU on them. BTW: NEw GP's should be 4 ohms or lower. Used ones should be less the 8 ohms. Anything higher and the GP is getting weak. These values are testing just the GP, not through the VC/UVC wire harnesses.
Yeh they say beru on them made in Germany# 0 100 226 138 11v they are brand new and were given to me from the prev. owner( my old boss) they have just been sitting in my work shop for 4 years and I wanted to be sure they were still ok thanks for the info!
