Well after 2 days and about 10 trips to the parts store i finally got my Wicked wheel and boost/pyro gauges installed. Here is a pic of the gauges, it was dark and my phone doesnt take the best pics in low light. I will post up more in the morning.
It worked out good, I cant keep my eys off them my wife got mad when we took it down the road `cause i was inthe other lane trying to see how much boost i made. 19psi @ 3000rpm.I hope it will do better when i get my tuner
Get the DP tuner and the boost WILL climb. Granted I have little more in my EX than some but after I put the new DP F5 in the other night, I pulled 29lbs on the 80hp economy setting and was'nt really in it that hard! Still...............the gauges look great!! I reall hate this dang pilar pod!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Congrats Frogg - Looks Great - I know your glad thats done and whats next - LOL!!! Have to teach the wife to read the gauges. My wife actually enjoys watching them when we tow the trailer since I explained what they do .

next is to fix the exhaust leak i caused i think i may have left the turbo clamps too loose or something. I also removed the foil from the inter-cooler pipe boy that was fun.
my truck doesnt really build any boost below 2000 rpms but from 2200-3000 it really climbs fast up to 19lbs is that normal? And another ? My exhaust temps stay down around 400 just driving around and climb to about 850-900 upon heavy acceleration not loaded, is that about right? My pyro is tapped in the up pipe between the manifold and the turbo on the driver side.
That boost is great for a stock tune truck, normally it is only 15-18 pounds. The EGT shouldnt get over 1100 on a stock tune unless you are REALLY pushing it. Most of the time with a stock tune the egt's should be around 500-800 just cruising around unloaded.
I gotta be honest here. I don't have any more of a "Blind Spot" with the gauges than I do without. Besides, what could possibly be on the other side of the pillar that you wouldn't see sticking in front or behind it? I watch my gauges, so putting them down below the gear shift isn't a very good solution for me. When I get on it, I can just about use my peripheral vision to see where the boost/pyro pointers are and know I'm okay. Can't do that when they're down there. To each his own, of course -- this is just my humble opinion...
they are not really hard to see, my steering wheel splits them perfectly. The reason i didnt want to use the a-pilar is when i was towing my jeep to the tennesee mtns it was hard to see around the left hand turns in the really sharp curves, i had to lean forward to see better. also just wanted to try something different. I think its kind of cool where i put them, just my opinion.

I was thinking that was normal temps and boost for where i had the probe installed, thanks
