I don't know I would say start with a regular dual exhaust system see how you like it. I didn't think mine was loud enough so I pulled the cat ofcourse I made it easy to put it back on just in case florida wanted to start doing those checks because its definetly going to make it bad. Other then that you want your truck to breath as much as possible in and out no restrictions as long as you have enough back pressure on your exhaust you'll be fine you ought to be able to have enough with a small muffler and the bends in the pipe going over the axle just don't cut it off right behind the engine thats when you will loose power. Not all peeps can just pull there cat I got lucky enough that my O2 sensor is located before the cat and after the manifolds so it doesn't effect the emissions on my truck. If you have the O2 sensor located on your cat or really close to it I wouldn't take it off because you'll get a check engine light more than likely. cuz it will mess with the fuel air mixture because your O2 sensor won't get hot enough because your cat collects alot of heat so therefore it will start dumping fuel and running rich witch starts other problems you just have to be careful about it. oh and most exhaust shops won't take your cat off for you so you would be on your own with that. Sorry I got a little long winded on that one hope that answered some of your questions on it. I just like my trucks to have a loud throaty sound to them.
