Cargo trailer recommendations

I'm in the market for an enclosed cargo trailer in the 6'x12' range preferable with dual axles. I've looked at Haulmark, CargoPro and Wells Cargo but I'm having trouble telling the good brands from the bad. Does anyone have any insights that they would like to share?

Thanks

Well, I have a 16' Haulmark that I use to haul my Nova...

First, I have to say that I live ten miles down a dirt road with some places that are pretty uneven (small tank traps). Also, I haven't used the trailer very much...probably 20 trips into and back from my place, plus one trip from the Midwest to Nevada...I'd estimate 3000 miles total mileage. I have had numerous problems with the unit. Screws backing themselves out of the aluminum, stripping of screws holding trim, buckling of plastic panels inside due to heat, etc. I got this unit for a very fair price, picking it up at the factory...but I wouldn't buy another from Haulmark. If I lived out on the pavement, I probably would buy another...I believe it is the dirt roads that is doing this unit in.

Wells Cargo and go for the tandem axle< 4> wheels instead of 2 wheels the tandem will sway less, willnot tip up while loading if un hooked from truck,if you have a blowout with a tandem it extra axle will keep you in your lane. Most trailers all come with brakes Good luck...................Paul

I would go with Wells Cargo. I owned one of their trailers and was very pleased with it. If Charmac builds a cargo trailer they are top of the line. They are built in Twin Falls ID. I toured there factory there several years ago.

Get electric brakes, stay away from "surge" brakes. Surge brakes are good as long as you do not have to back up an incline loaded. The weight of the trailer pushing forward on the hitch will "set" the brakes.
