chip/tuner question

chip/tuner question

i have an 86 f-150 302fi. 2wd aod. i have 3.55 gears in the rear n i plan on puttin different tires on in the springs along with a different cam n was just wonderin if a chip would b worth the investment? and wat kind of things i could tinker with the chip for my truck.

a good chip will help you get the most out of that cam, especially with the speed density ECM on your truck.

Some where they had module you replaced the PROM and made the ECM programmable.

i kant seem to find any chips or programmers that are usuable for my truck..if someone could point me in a direction as to which ones would work i would appreciate it. thanks

Your prom isn't erasable so you aren't going to find a programmer. Your choices are replace the prom or use an add-on chip that plugs into the test port. Superchips still list their's, you just need to find someone who burns them.
