Here's the link for the NBS trucks fix. The parts are different but the reason for the DL failure is the same. Something about a decaying magnetic field and making a shield out of aluminum foil. I have not tried this yet but it seems do-able.

fixed my door locks today. Turns out mine were just full of dirt. i opened mine up and after a good cleaning everything was working again. i did break the plastic deal that comes out of the gearbox i just JB welded it back and its out in the shop setting up before reinstall. FYI our setup IS diffrent, the motors are the same so the foil thing should work on ours. the gearboxes are just diffrent.

Glad you got them fixed, mine are next. Did you put the foil on the motors too or just a clean-up?
