Thumbs up maby simple maby not

could be as simple as a lose belt or weak tensioner or could be a weak failing water pump or you could just need a good flush and some fresh anti dont think it would be the thermostat or you would have trouble with it regardless if a\c was on or not but if you decide to flush might as well throw a new one in any way i would replace the belt and make sure its tite enough first that a\c is hard to turn and could be slowing down your water pump enough to make the heat go up keep an eye on your pump hope this helps

All of my Fords have done that, the newest is my 05 Taurus, I always figured as long as it doesn't go out of the normal range it is fine. I could be wrong then I need to fix 4 vehicles.

From: Niceville, FL.
Could be the fan clutch is starting to fail. Look for signs of a viscous coupling fluid leak around the shaft or sideplay between the body and shaft. Also check for bugs, leaves or other debris partially blocking the radiator.
