--and another try: Since the 352 ad the 360 both have a 3.5" stroke, are the rods the same length?? If so then the pistons have different pin heights. It is generally agreed that a longer rod is better within limits.

The 352 rods are exactly the same as the 360's. The piston height varies due to compression differences between different years and versions. You only have to change the length of the rod or height of the piston when you change stroke. Longer rods are in most cases better but not in this one. The 390 - 427 rod is only slightly shorter but much stronger.
