Another Steering Question

I'm gonna put off swapping the tie rods till the end of the week....that way I'll have a little cash for an alignment afterwards. Spring Dampers...Shocks ? Google has yielded a loooottttt of info....maybe too much. There's was an interesting article by SkyJacker on the evolution of IFS lifts.
I had my wife move the steering wheel back and forth gently at first, then really heaving on it, and didn't see any movement of the steering gear itself. ( Phew ? )
Muckypaws....Do you guys have glass headlights on the trucks over there ? I have 4 Granada Scorpio's and a real popular upgrade is to get a set of German headlights because the US Spec plastic ones yellow over time and become real high maintenance to keep clear.
