I'm going to replace my radius arm bushings this weekend, since the right side is pretty torn up. Anyone know how much torque to put on the nut when I put it back together? It's a 65 F100, 2WD.
Another related question: could the damaged radius arm bushing be affecting my steering? Last weekend I put in power steering (bolt on bendix box) and I find steering smooth around left hand bends, but right hand bends cause the steering to jerk to the right. Maybe a bubble in the power steering line?
And ANOTHER question: where to find the little rubber boot that goes over the center link joint? I tore that one with the pickle fork. I looked in some of the usual places and couldn't find it.
OK, in the absence of a torque setting...I'll go for the bulge method. Also, thanks Drof46for the tie rod end cover source. I actually didn't find them there, but Dennis Carpenter has them.
