So I just picked up an F-250 5.4 lariat 4x4 tow package etc. I love it, but it had what I now know is/was "super duty clunk" After reading all the threads about it, I greased the slip yoke as advised and it did the trick! I gotta be honest it was killing me. Thank god for sites like theese that we can all share our experiences, good and bad. Thanks again guys.
Hey hawaii, welcome to the site! Yup, you'll find lots of great info here.
I just had a truck show for my chapter and I pulled out the binder of info that I've gotten from this site...they couldn't believe all the great stuff that I found.
BTW, how in the wide wide world of sports can you afford to run a Super Duty in Hawaii? Those fuel prices would cripple me!
No doubt! ! I'm a construction superintendant so I have a car allowance that helps alot. I'd rather pay for gas and be happy with what I drive. My truck is my office, so I wanted a roomy truck.. cant beat the super duty.
I was in hawaii on vacation a year ago, and the fuel prices were the exact same as they were in the city of chicago. Chicago seems to have the highest taxes in the country. Gas today is in the $3.35-$3.45 range for regular unleaded. Sales tax is at 9% and there is a proposal to jack it to 11%. Average pack of cigarettes is $7 -$7.50
License plates are $78 a year, and the pickup city sticker is $150 a year.
