What does a header leak sound like?
Like I said in the subject, what does a headers leak sound like? Because there is, as Ross Perot would say, a giant sucking sound coming from the 428. On that note, what are some good header gaskets for the FE?

A header leak sounds lke you have a popping sound under the hood. I think it is the felpro number 1442 that port match to my edel heads perfectly. I dunno how they will match to yours.

What does a header leak sound like?
Running an engine without an air cleaner will produce a sucking sound, as would having a broken vacuum line. A header with a leak somewhere between engine and collector will produce more of a ticking sound. Sounds sorta like a yard sprinkler.

False alarm guys, it was - get this
- the brake vacum, which had never gotten a plug since we put the new carb on! I'm embarrassed but at least it runs right now. Thanks for the help though!!
