another lift/tire question

My 2005 F350 cc psd has what i believe to be a 2 inch leveling kit and is stock in the rear. I have 315/70r17 tires which is about 34.4 inches. they almost rub up front but i could trim the plastic and easily run 35s and space out the bumper if necessary. i want to run 37s but all i see is guys running 6-8inches of lift with these tires and i dont want that much lift. i saw an 08 250 with 37s today and it had what appeared to be 3 inch blocks in the back and i dont know what in the front but it sat level. Can i get away with a 4 inch up front and 2 in the back and run these tires. This is my daily driver and sees mostly highway but needs to be able to flex without bumping on the weekends.

You can get away with whatever lift you want if you use a sawsall to cut out the fender wells. :-Kneeslap
