I'm still debugging my starting and low speed bucking problem. 2 questions: how do you clean the EGR and where is the PCV valve located on a 94 302?? My Haynes manual doesn't show where the PCV is. Thanks.
IAC has been replaced along with the EVR; no change to the problem. I thought it was the charcoal canister purge solenoid, but that wasn't it. I just cleaned the throttle body and installed a new cap and rotor. I also added a bottle of Lucas Transmission Fix.
Double check your TPS with a multimeter if it is scratchy (think noisy volume pot on a old stereo!!) Your truck will get the wrong resistance reading from it and screw with things!! It is just a glorified potentiometer so check for a smooth reading on the vom if it jumps or drops replace it!!! Usually the first quarter of any pots sweep is where they go bad!!!

If TPS = Throttle Position Sensor, then I was looking for that around the throttle body. Where is it on a 94 302??
By the way, just took the truck for a long drive after cleaning the throttle body and installing a new cap and rotor. On the way out, truck had an intermittant, slight miss when idling at a red light. Other than that, it ran fine. Did not notice any miss on the way back home. Will continue to monitor the performance.
I knew when I typed IAS it didn't look right...damn brain farts lol.....The TPS should be towards the inner part of the motor..that is...the driver's side of the TB as you are looking at it..Should also be a Metal piece bolted to the TB itself and probably has a black plug.
It's on the other end of the butterfly shaft from the throttle lever on the T.B. What all did you do? Did you add any gas line dryer? The TPS is probably fine if it's working like that but if you submerge you truck or drive through a lot of water on the 5.0 that Tps is on the bottom of the TB so that's where all the water runs, I keep mine sprayed with silicone spray as well as everything else. Who here has the original distributor rubber cover?? I do!!!!
