I am considering going from my stage 1's and getting stage 2's. i will be getting the sd hpop to support them and ill be selling my 1's to my buddy. What else will i need to support 2's ive heard that all you need is the bigger oil pump?? Most of all what kind of power difference will i see from 1's to 2's
Personally I would Get the DIY kit to build your 1's into 2's but it depends on your cash, time and comfort level with small parts.
2's will run on stock fuel and oil just not to their full potential. Also the stock turbo and trans will not be long for this world with 2's so plan accordingly.
And as Jim said get a good chip from Tony or Dp-Tuner.
Not to hijack your thread, but does bigger injectors hurt the life expencaty of the engine?
I would have to say a big YES! I have heard that engines only have so many hp hours in them and once you double the hp from stock with just 1s you know its putting more stress on the motor. I have had a chip on my truck for nearly 100,000 miles and the injectors maybe 30,000 miles. It doesnt show any signs of letting up but I am very hard on the poor girl. You just dont drive a modded truck the same as you did all stock
