tranny diode issue

Is there any way to tell if a tranny is likely to have the diode issue? or might eventually? I'm looking at a 00 model and my understanding is that it was prone to this problem. If there's no way to predict, what percentage had the problem?

The mechanical diode was introduced at the start of the 2001 model year. It was removed from production in March, 2001.

That 2000 model truck does not ahve a mechanical diode.

I have a 2001 f250 diesel with a 4r100 tranny...

the truck's production date was on 09/00.

do I have a diode tranny?

How can I tell if that is not enough information?
