Diablo, looks like you figured it out. That is suh-wheet!!!. Can you post a break down of the lift (size included), rims, and tires you used. The post I just did was not mine, but am still looking at doing it to my black 450. The lift on the red one I posted was expensive as all hell.

Thanks

I got the bumper for towing my 5th wheel across open range hiway. Figure it's better to bump something off the road than take my 26,000 lbs 12 wheeling. Now I just need to see if the axle flip gets the 5th wheel high enough!

Here is an example:

just wondering how safe is it to "lift" a 5th wheel or any trailer because wouldn't they become really top heavy and roll easily?

correct, you should not lift the trailer.

I wouldn't say REALLY dangerous, but it would raise the CG of the trailer and make it less stable.

The actual difference will be about an 8% increase in CG height. Trailer CG is currently around 6' from the road and it will go to 6'6" after the flip.
In any case I'll be needing to changing my cornering habits due to the softer sidewalls on the Nitto tires. There's risk in everything we do, it's a matter of how we decide to change our behavior to mitigate that risk.

Axel flip done

Flipped 5th wheel axels and now the trailer runs level. I've also added the Spartan tuner with dpf delete. Stability with the trailer was fine towing over Pacheco pass and the Grapevine It does seem much taller than the 6" change but that's just because of the added ground clearance under the 5th wheel. I no longer need to crawl out of driveways as I did on the stock setup. Haven't had it off road much and I'm sure that will be where I'll feel the difference in cg but you don't run this kind of rig at speed in dirt anyway so I'm not too worried. Going to do Gorman in late Jan so I'll let you know how it does.
2008 F450 crew 4X4 4.88 rear. Gearvendors overdrive. Transferflow 30 gal tank/toolbox. Warn 16.5k winch in Warn bumper with Hella 9" and Warn 4" lights. Fabtech 4 link 6" dirt logic front 6" rear block w/2.25 non-resi shocks, 2.25 remote resivoir steering stabilisers(very necessary!), 325/50 R22 nitto Terra Grapplers on American Force Magnum wheels. Amp Research full length power steps (love 'em). Spartan Dashpaq tuner w/dpf delete 75,150,210 tunes (tow with 75, daily with 210 for 18 mpg at 70). Towing a 36' attitude toyhauler w/2 slides, sleeps 10 and hauls Kawi 50,90 and 700 quads and Honda crf 100, 150 and cr500 bikes.
Hope that's not too much detail.

Total for lift, wheels, tires and boards was about 20k. Most of that in wheels and a lot in tires. They didn't hit me for much labor considering what had to be done and the quality of their work.
