Gotta love it!
I'm still finishing my Doctorate in IT so I'm not really doing a whole helluva lot.. Between my disability and school funding from the Military, I can pretty much live within reason.. I'm helping my mum out with one of her offices here in Georgetown.. She lost an admin so I'm filling in by hanging out here..
Next door is the Sonic.. For the past 2 hours I've been watching out the window at kids and adults looking at my truck lol.. You know, it puts a smile on your face to know someone appreciates beauty.. I guess it makes me feel at peace with what I've spent on this truck and how I've put a little bit of my heart into it..
Anyone ever just sit and stare at their truck? I imagine it's "almost" like the feeling a dad has staring at his newborn child.. Knowing that it is a part of him.. We sit and spend money doing all these crazy things to our trucks.. Making them tow more, go faster, stand taller and look meaner.. But does anyone ever just sit back and smile at it.. Crazy ain't it

Hhaha.. I do the same thing! I take up two spots anywhere I park.. Only because idiots like to ding my doors one too many times.. I always look at it when I walk away too..
My favorite is when kids admire it while their walking with their parents to their car.. Thats when I hit the remote start and when it fires up the kids get excited :-)

Ever have people offer to buy your truck? I get that once in a while, everyone thinks my truck is one of kind with all the international emblems and custom bumpers, there always asking how I like the international motor over the the powerstroke.... It was real funny when I got pulled over the other night and the cops couldnt figure out what kind of truck I had, unfortunatly I was handcuffed in the back of a squad car and couldnt tell them.....

You're not alone Storm. I find myself doing the same thing a lot. The other day I was driving through the Walmart parking lot and this little boy about 5 years old starts yanking on his dads arm and yells "look dad a monster truck". I got a big grin on my face and dropped it down into nuetral so I could rev'er up a bit. It was awesome

Amen to all my brothers, you have put it so eloquently. When I'm grilling in the driveway I back my truck up just so I can drop the tailgate and sit on it while drinking a few Yuenglings and grilling. We have padded patio furniture to sit on while grilling, but I prefer the comfy tailgate. Plus if I have too many Yuenglings and spill in the truck bed, cleanup is easy!!!
